Are you a Student in Higher Education?

Tax advice or management consultancy – could either be of interest to me? Would you like to get a taste of the accounting industry and gain your first experience as part of a specialised internship? Or are you interested in part-time employment during your studies? We offer a wide range of opportunities!
A specialised internship at TPA is generally designed for full-time employment and lasts between 4 and 6 months. Here you can gain initial experience and lay a good foundation for a subsequent permanent position.
A small note: many of our interns are taken on permanently (including part-time) after their internship.

If you want to develop your skills in tax advisory while studying part-time, TPA also offers you this opportunity. You can put your freshly acquired knowledge directly into practice alongside your studies.

Student in Higher Education FAQ

Internships in tax and management consultancy are possible at any time. Please note that all internships at TPA are full-time.

  • By the way: an internship is often the first step towards starting a Career at TPA!
  • You can find all the vacancies on our Jobs site, and you can also apply to be an intern!

If you are interested in a specialised internship in tax consulting at TPA, it is important that you have already specialised in a relevant field (accounting, corporate accounting & auditing, taxation & financial law) during your education.

Our interns in management consulting have different specialisations, depending on their field of study. In this area, a relevant orientation towards accounting, tax law or auditing is not absolutely necessary.

Application tip for a specialised internship:

We advise students who are just beginning their studies not to apply for a specialised internship. Experience has shown that at this point, their theoretical knowledge is not yet sufficient to optimally benefit from the contents of the internship. However, if you would still like to get to know TPA as an employer and in-depth professional training is not a priority for you, a holiday internship might be of interest to you. You are welcome to send us an initative application for this (ideally around the turn of the year).

You can find all the relevant job ads on our Jobs site.

Are you a Graduate?

Tax advice, payroll accounting, bookkeeping and accounting – dry, boring and all about numbers? Sometimes our industry has this image. We would be happy to prove the opposite. Graduates who start their careers at TPA quickly learn that the work is exciting and diverse – and, above all, has a lot to do with people.

Junior Tax Consultant
Trainees

To successfully apply for a position as a trainee in tax consulting, you must have a degree in economics or law. Ideally, you should have specialised in relevant subjects (accounting, corporate accounting & auditing, taxation & financial law) as part of your studies.

We do not assume that you have already completed several relevant internships. However, we would be pleased if you have already gained some insight into the auditing industry.

Depending on the field of activity, there are opportunities to enter the field of management consultancy with different areas of expertise.

But it is also important to us…

Your personality and your motivation! We are looking for colleagues who approach their work with a great deal of enthusiasm and vigour, who face new challenges positively and who enjoy taking on responsibility.

We are not looking for lonely ‘calculators’, but for people who enjoy working as part of a team to ensure the success of the company.

Our aim is to prepare you as well as possible for the tax consultancy exam. To do this, you will gain extensive practical experience in a range of areas, enabling you to build a broad knowledge base. Alongside your practical work, we offer internal training and additional further training opportunities to deepen your knowledge even further. Naturally, we cover the costs of your training.

In addition to the mandatory courses at the Chamber of Tax Advisors and Auditors, we offer you numerous internal events and training courses that perfectly complement your preparation. We also know that exam preparation takes time – which is why we allow you to use ‘saved hours’ for preparation by arrangement.

Our goal is to keep you on board in the long term after you have passed your exams. We are constantly growing and are happy to have motivated and competent colleagues on board. Our Careerpath offers you a wide range of opportunities for specialisation and advancement.

To ensure that you keep your knowledge up to date, we offer regular training, professional events and networking opportunities. If you are later interested in postgraduate training, we will also support you in this.

Do you still have questions? You may find answers in our general FAQ. If not, our Human Resources team will be happy to help at Human-Resources@tpa-group.at!
